Golden Moments of Life


There are moments so special they're golden,
Sprinkled all the way through our days;
Sometimes, just a word or a gesture ~
Revealing the depth of our ways.



Like the first time you said, "I love you,"
And it came from your heart of hearts,
You knew it would be forever.
You were thankful for life to start.



And times when your grief was so painful,
Although it wasn't your own,
But you felt for your friend or your neighbor
And words wouldn't do it alone ...



So, the touch of the hand on the shoulder,
Or the tear that spilled on your cheek,
Let them know your deep understanding;
Left them not so cold and so bleak.



They don't have a school for this wisdom.
It's given by God, above,
To those He knows will use it;
Applying His kind of love.
