Philipians 1: 3

Jon reached up and touched my hair, then he laughed. My hair had spray on it, his own was almost like thick fur. A victim of autism, he was having a rare day. Not quite “of a sudden” but , (for him) amazing, he was making smooth marks, steady and round. One row of zeros (just the circle) and one row with the word, “zero” several times.
He pushed against me in a loving way and squeezed my hand. I felt privileged.
Had I crossed the boundary and gained entry into his world? I was only a substitute, so each time I came, it was new all over again.
In the night, I woke up and remembered that laughter, - that touch.
I said a prayer.
Isn’t that right?
Isn’t that what we are supposed to do?
