Prophecy

Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.......
This is how you are to make it.........
For behold, I will bring a flood of
waters upon the earth,
to destroy all flesh in which is
the breath of life from
under heaven.............

"Lord, this story is kind of scary."

"Yes, My child."

"It sounds like You gave those
guys plenty of notice......how long
did it take Noah to build the
ark, anyway?"

"A long time, child."

"So, I guess everybody, around,
had lots of time to figure out
what was going on. I mean,
Noah was probably trying to
warn all his neighbors, huh?"

[NOD.]

"But, everybody kept laughing
at him, and telling him he was
a meshugunah."

"Yes, child.
Very meshugunah."

"What a shame, Lord!
All those people could have
been saved............but, they
just didn't listen - or,
wouldn't, I guess."

"No, child. They would
not listen to Me."

"Lord, I was thinking.....
could Noah's story be
kind of a prophesy?
You know:
about Your Second Coming?"

"In what way, child."

"Well, the door of Your Ark
is open right now.........and
welcoming to anybody who
is willing to come to Faith,
and believe...........
(Silence.)
one day, perhaps in
the not so distant future....
the door will be shut - and
it will begin to rain........."

"And?"

"Well, all of those who
have been laughing, and
scoffing at Your Word -
will suddenly realize the
rain is not stopping.........
but, by that time the
Door to Your Ark will be
shut - and nothing will
be able to save them....."

[SILENCE.]

"Is that why You are
taking so long to build
Your Ark, this time,
Lord: to save as
many souls as You can?"

"My Ark was finished,
long ago, My child."

"Oh. You mean It
was completed.....
on top of Mt. Calvary.
(Silence.)
Then, Lord, why are
we all still waiting?"

"It is not you who are
waiting, child.
It is I."

in the second month,
on the seventeenth day
of the month, on that day
all the fountains of the
great deep burst forth,
and the windows of the
heavens were opened.
