Marriage

A young Christian woman wanted to be married.
She was happy in her job, she had great friends and family but she longed to find her soul mate.

She read some informative and inspiring articles and books that clearly explained how God works in the lives of people who want to find their mate.

First of all, she learned that God is a God of ORDER. He does all things decently and in order, and according to His will.
So she set herself in agreement with the word of God and did those things that were pleasing to God.

She delighted herself in the Lord by faithfully studying and growing in faith. She also began to change some bad habits she had in her life.
It is easier for God to bring two people together who are submitted to His will than people who are immature and full of bad habits.

She became a happier and more peaceful person when she made positive changes in her life.

One day she heard about a Seminar in a distant city and felt a stronge urge to attend. She registered, and boarded the Charter with all of the others who were going.

As she meditated on the bus, she began to feel strongly that God wanted her to attend Prayer each morning.

The first morning it was raining. Prayer was scheduled from 7 am to 8 am but the best kind of sleep is sleep when it's raining so she missed the Monday Prayer.

The second morning someone knocked on her door and told her about the All You Can Eat Pancake Buffet, and so she missed the Tuesday Prayer.

The next day which was Wednesday, she was feeling the effects of too many pancakes and she was too sluggish to get up, so she missed prayer again.

The fourth day, Thursday it was raining again...so...

The last day of the seminar was Friday. She sat up in bed and thought about how she had failed in not going to Prayer, got depressed and went back to sleep.

As she put on her sweats and sneakers for the bus ride home Friday afternoon she had many thoughts about her week.
Although she had not kept her promise to God to attend Prayer each morning, she still had enjoyed the seminar.

Leaving her room, she began to wheel her luggage down the hotel hallway. She looked up suddenly and was transfixed by a very handsome man walking toward her. He was dressed impeccably and held his Bible under his arm. He began to stare at her too, from head to toe!
It was an unusual sight. Two people staring at each other for such a long time.
He seem vaguely familiar, but she did not know his name. The man continued to look at her, surveying her sneakers and sweat suit puzzled and perplexed. He looked back for one more long moment before he disappeared around the corner.

The young woman boarded the bus with a strange feeling washing over her.
Who was he? Does he know me?
Then the answer came to her suddenly and clearly as only God can reveal it. That was her soul mate!

He had come to prayer every morning looking for her, but she was out of place.

He had come every morning expecting to see the girl in his dreams but she was out of place!

He had prayed for a wife, prepared for her, came to meet her, but she was out of place!

When God says move, we must move right then and right there or we will miss the blessing.

The distraught young woman decided that never again would she disobey God in such a serious matter.

So the next year she was the first to register for the seminar.
She had purpose and determination and she was one of the first to arrive at Prayer the first morning.

There he was! Yes there he was... with his new wife on his arm!

He had met another girl , fallen in love and gotten married in one years time.

Can you miss your soul mate, your blessing, your birthright? Of course. You can even GIVE it away by slothfulness and neglect.
Esau gave away his birthright for a bowl of stew.

When you ask God for something and He says Move, Move!

God sends blessings, visions and dreams toward us every day and we miss most of them and don't even see them!
