Why did God create man?
How could we be part of the master plan?

Why he gave us free will?
Allowing His Son our pain to feel.

Earthquakes, famines and floods are destroying his creation.
Nation fighting against nation.

Families destroyed by infidelity and divorce.
Why does He allow us to chart our own course?

Alcohol and drugs destroying life,
Creating heartache and strife.

Children growing up without mom and dad,
Feeling lonely and sad.

Why does evil reign supreme,
While world peace is but a pipe dream?

Why does justice seem beyond our reach,
While depravity and iniquity clings like a leach?

Why do some coast along worry free,
While others are burdened beyond degree?

These are among the many questions in my mind.
Answers are difficult to find.

Then a gentle voice whispers in my ear,
My child, do not fear.

I ask you not to understand,
Just trust and take my hand.
