What is this grace
that sees me as clean
when in fact
I am nothing but serene
What is this power
that overcomes every wrong
giving strength to my weak soul
that is nothing close to strong
This God who believes in me
even when I live such a fallacy
relates to me
like we are living in the same galaxy
He brings me a feeling
that is so appealing
and does nothing in my eyes
except continue healing
This grace which I have
heard so much about
Gives me this blind faith
out of my complete doubt
This undeserved favor
is some type of waiver
given through my Lord
my Christ, my Savior
I can't understand
why he gave me this grace
when in fact it seems like
I keep spitting in His face
This constant sinful demeanor
that I repeatedly put out
has been washed away
and made me devout
I may never fully get
how he shakes off my spit
and bridges the hole
in my divine split
If only I could fully grasp
this amazing grace
Then I could truly appreciate
this heavenly embrace
So this grace I may never
fully comprehend
except that it was sealed
with the blood of my very best friend
