I am the fifth wheel
I am the twenty-seventh letter
I am the loser
when it comes to whose better
I walk in the dirt
while others stroll the road
Yet when blame comes
to me it is bestowed
If my failures
were stacked on high
They would reach
beyond the sky
I suck at living
and need forgiving
for all the dismay
that I'm giving
My life amounts to
a grand total of zero
I am nothing good
I'm no hero
I'm a steering wheel on a sled
the last name that's read
the word 'Loser'
is tatooed to my head
When opportunity knocks
I'm asleep
and when the garage sale comes
I'm sold for cheap
Yet, with a single death
and a forgiving last breath
I am new to Someone
I'm His Seth
I now have meaning
beyond what I felt
and its like I'm born again
a new hand is dealt
I now feel
this intense ability
and like I now finally have
an actual responsibility
My life importance to God
is His own Son
and when I asked Him to reconsider
He said 'It is done! '
So even though I still tread
on seemingly thin ice
I have changed the way
that I roll the dice
For Him I exist
and continue to persist
because my name is now
on His list.
