Poetry
Created for the journey,
not just the destination.
Make me willing to be willing
to lay down hesitation.
I surrender all today, Lord,
remind me still tomorrow
with your mercy in the morning
that your bear my pain and sorrows.
In the ark of your presence
I will follow the fire
as I strive through this wilderness
unto the place of your desire.
This world in not my home
yet this is where I live.
I will occupy and testify-
unto your will I give.
Help me to give as you have,
slay me, lay me down
and I'll take up as the Spirit lifts
walking on to holy ground.
In the shadow of your cloud
I'll walk in your way
I'll look not behind or below me
but lift my head to praise.
I want to go
I need to know
I long to see you face to face.
My heart grieves for my heavenly home
but I will run this earthly race.
I want to hear you, Father
speak my name and hold me.
I long to hear the answers
to all the dreams you ever told me.
Make me ready to be ready.
I'm not worthy, but I know Grace-
I'm walking with him step by step
to end in your embrace.
