Dear Father, let me listen; help me hear
What the Spirit is saying:
Too much talking and begging--
Not enough quietness and listening,
Too much noise and confusion--
Not enough acceptance and faith.

Not my way, but Yours, dear Father.
I can't see where You're going--
But then I don't need to.
Let me follow closely, peacefully
Confident and content
That Your will and Your Way
Are eternally good for me.

Let there be no soul sound
But the quietness of my footsteps
Following Yours through the darkness.
