Dump Tudis

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(KJV)

Lu 18:17 Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
(KJV)

I pondered these thoughts when I was struggling for Salvation. Then one day as I was driving to work I remembered what our Pastor had said the day before and that was you must come as a little child. I realized that it was just simple trust, such as a little baby has in its parents. No more and no less.

I was reminded of something that happened when I was just a youngster growing up at Caesar, MS. My brother and his family were staying with us and they had two young children-Glenda and Curtis.

Curtis was about 2 years old and Glenda was 4. We had an old upright piano sitting in the front room. One day I put Curtis on the top of the piano, I squatted down at the end of the piano and told Curtis to jump to me. Without hesitation Curtis sailed off the top of the piano into my arms and I caught him. This is what it takes for Souls Salvation-just jump into the arms of Jesus never doubting that he is going to catch you.

Several days later I happened to walk into the room where the piano was just in time to see Glenda squatting down at the end of the piano, Curtis on the top, and she said "Dump Tutis". Needless to say both Tutis and Glenda sprawled out on the living room floor. You see, Curtis had put his trust in someone that was not big or strong enough to catch him. You can jump into the arms of Jesus without fear. He will catch you!
