Gifts of Charity


Lord, open up my eyes to see
Your purpose and your plan
Take hold my hand and lead me to
The hungry of this land.

When I can see someone in need
And know I can do more
Open my mind to understand
The way to help the poor.

By giving freely to others
Your love I can then share
From heart-to-heart, love is passed
A voyage of true care.

Lord, open to me a window
An opportunity
To make a difference while I'm here
With gifts of charity.

Very good, Julie. Thanks for sharing and reminding us always to give gifts of charity, whether gifts of money or things or simply gifts of kindness by a word of encouragement. There are so many kinds of gifts, and giving is not just for those who have LOTS of substance to share. I want to share a gift with you, Julie: God bless you!! Keep writing. That is my gift to you: keep sharing your talent with others.

Amen! It is SO heartwarming to read the prayer of another's heart that so longs to share the Lord's love with all who will receive it, whether in word or deed.
