From the darkest deepest pit,
I took you to be Mine;
To show the world the truth of it:
My grace is e’er kind;

I took you from the meanest place,
To show all the glory that is Me;
I did this by showing My face
To you that you’d be free;

You have My word as My bond,
My song to lift your soul;
Bring you into My grace beyond,
Realize, in Me, you’re whole;

I am your Life; the Breath of you;
Your name is on My heart;
In your heart, know this true:
Your breath will never part;

And I’ll give you beyond salvation;
Your heart set here at ease;
Let My love be your conviction,
And all, in store, with peace;

So be My joy, My blessed one,
And sing to all of Me;
I love you as I do My Son;
The truth that will not leave.
