It Is Finished

So when Jesus received the sour wine, He said, “ It is finished.” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:30

It is finished. These three words are the greatest words in the bible, in my opinion. With these words, man was given a way to have fellowship with God once again. No longer did we need the blood of a lamb. Jesus was the lamb. He was the perfect lamb. Jesus chose to give up his spirit. His spirit did not leave. He gave it away. For you, and for me. Jesus could have gotten off of the cross at any time, yet He chose to hang there so we may not die, but live with Him forever. Jesus chose the time He was going to die. We don’t have that choice. “ For it appointed once for man to die, and after that the judgement.” Hebrews 9:27 The only choice we have is whether or not we believe that Jesus died for our sins. The past sins, the present sins, and the future sins. Don’t let Jesus’ death and resurrection be in vain. He did everything for you. It is done. Death has been defeated.
It is finished.
