God likes the scenic route

We do not like to wait. Fast food. Fast cars. And even fast money. We want what we want now. After we became Christians we carried this over with us. We want to start our ministry now. We want all of God’s blessings now.
God however likes to take the scenic route. He knows that if we received all that He has in store for us now, we will forget where they came from. God will lead us down the long country roads to get us to where He wants us to be. The way to God’s blessings is not an interstate. It is a long road. God knew what it would take to get us to Him. And He knows what it will take to get us to the point where He can use us to His fullest. Never run before God, or you will leave Him Behind. Don’t turn down a dirt road thinking it is a short cut. For when you find out it is a dead end and return back to the path you left, you will find God is still there waiting for you. If you allow Him to guide your path you will be able to look back and see all of the places God has brought you through to get you to where you are. Christianity is not a race. It is a scenic drive down winding country roads. Allow God to drive. And enjoy the ride.
