Jesus said He is the world’s Light.
In Him there is no night.

Light illuminates the way.
From the lighted path, we must not stray.

Light reveals that which is hid.
Our unrighteousness and sin we must rid.

Light helps to find that which is lost.
To Him, it came at great cost.

We are to walk as children of Light
Dispelling darkness, bringing blind their sight.

Under a basket, we must not hide.
Instead we are to be as a city on a hillside.

May we each reflect Christ’s light.
Just as the moon reflects the sun at night.

For this Light, I give thanks and praise.
May I follow Him all of my days.
