Stumbling in the pouring rain,
Trying hard to find peace;
I want to cool this searing brain;
To make this storm of soul cease;
I don’t know why I am here,
The purpose why I feel this;
I need to know that hope is near,
To give my spirit some bliss;
And He whispered,

“My plan is for your peace,
To bring to you to a greater end;
The war between us has ceased;
I have made you My own friend;
Please, dear child, know within,
I use all for the good;
I paid the debt of your sin,
To bless you as I only could;”
And He whispered,

A strength came from my heart,
Yet from another, greater place;
I had returned to that good start,
To stand in the light of His face;
Could I know a greater thing,
Then what I knew deep down;
I sensed a truth so clearly ring,
Set upon me, a crown;
And He whispered,

“I convict you with a greater truth;
I have you where I want you;
My Spirit is your greater proof;
More pure than rain and more true;
I love you like My precious Son,
For I do nothing half-hearted;
By My ways, you have won;
My grace is e’er imparted;”
And He whispered…
