"Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls."
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come unto Me" is the most beautiful invitation ever uttered--and the most costly. It is written in the dear Savior's blood. If He had not been willing to die, it could never have been given. It offers us the Best of heaven and earth. How many times in some wretched condition in life (often of my own making) have I cried, "Oh, my precious Savior, I come!"
It is love's standing invitation to poor, whip-lashed sinners.
