1st Vignette
“No dear, the tree is leaning a bit to the left. Oh…sorry…I mean to your right …ah there now it is straight.”
“Here mother let me show you how we hang the icicles on the tree. Good Mother… do you remember the song Silent Night that you taught me as a child? Dear would you sing Silent Night and help your grandmother with the words.”
“Oh dear Lord, how many more Christmas’ will I have mother here at home? Father God I lift my father up to you, look how he is aging, refresh him Dear God. I feel so stretched myself caring for everyone. Father God give me strength to persevere I ask in Jesus Name.”
“Yes mother you are singly beautifully. Do you remember why we celebrate Christmas mom? It’s all about Baby Jesus... Yes mother, good mother, Away in the Manager, you remembered.”
“Oh mother, yes you do look like a Christmas tree with the icicles in your hair… of course the candy cane hanging from your pocket does add flavor to your outfit…thank you Lord God if this is the last year she can be at home that you gave me this moment of humor because I know in the future I’ll look back on this Christmas and remember her with this childlike joy at Christmas.”
Actress turns her back for a moment to break from that vignette……and says “Proverbs 31 Women”
2n Vignette
“It’s a good thing I stopped at Starbucks, I definitely needed the extra boost for now. This Family First segment on Alzheimer’s, that I was asked me to write and produce for the Christmas Season, sure has cut into my spare time. Thank you Lord, I learned a lot about the disease and what the caregivers go through as I researched this segment.”
“No the light needs to be adjusted, we need more of an intimate warm glow…let the Christmas decorations and lights help set the mood in the camera frame. Thank you Lord, we found the decorations to set the perfect mood. I pray Father God that once this segment airs that there will be the perfect Christmas Tree on the lot for my home. Lord, I need your help… this show has taken so much of my time I haven’t even started Christmas Shopping. Please let me be productive and help me not lose sight of the meaning of this season. May the viewers of this show be edified and built up as we make the public more aware.”
“Yes sir… Thank you sir for liking the segment… What a blessing to give me the set’s Christmas tree and all the decorations, this is a special Christmas gift.”
“Thank you Lord, for providing my needs and saving me time during at Christmas.”
Actress turns her back for a moment to break from that vignette…and says “Proverbs 31 Women”

“Menu for Christmas Dinner and grocery list made…check
Clean sheets on the sofa bed and guest beds… check
Plenty of clean towels for guests… check
Opps, I need to add extra hand towels for the guest bath……….
House Cleaning List….let’s see…vaccum, mop, clean bathrooms, dust for white glove treatment…Do walk through for child proofing the house…what else…
Christmas Presents wrapped…check
Schedule planned for picking up everyone at the airport …check”
“I wish I had the vacation days left to get everything done… there may be some late nights involved but it looks like everything is time-lined and everyone arrives in time to make Christmas Eve Service.”
“Lord, in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season where do I get to schedule you in with all the things to do? I know you know my going out and coming in, but I need your presence so I don’t lose sight of the Gift of Jesus you gave me and what this whole season is about. Help me make this a Season where others do not lose sight of celebrating your Son. I ask Father God that You, Your Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the special guests in my home this year for Christmas.”
Actress turns her back for a moment to break from that vignette…and says “Proverbs 31 Women”
4thVignette
“What a surprise to see you working here, do you still have your other job?”
“I know it is tough when there isn’t enough money for Christmas. I remember working extra jobs and overtime for the Christmas money for the family and how exhausted it leaves you. Tell me did any of your Christmas decorations make it through Hurricane Katrina or did you lose those also?”
“I’m so sorry to hear that, but you are such a good mother working as you are to make this Christmas special for your kids.”
“No that is all I’m buying. Merry Christmas”.
Actress moves away so the audience gets the impression of leaving the store…
“Lord, I know what it is like to lose almost everything, and I know that I’m looking for a job, but You have carried me through…I ask that you bless me with finding the perfect Christmas Tree in a price range I can afford so I can give it to that family, they lost so much in the hurricane and it has been so difficult for them to rebuild.”
“Thank you Lord, not only an inexpensive Christmas Tree but a three-pack of poinsettias for the price of what one normally costs. Thank you that you put it on my heart to go to that store.”
“Let’s see I have extra Christmas lights and Christmas Balls. I’ll just set these with the tree and poinsettias at their door…I pray they will Thank you Father God as You provide for their needs this Holiday Season. This woman has leaned on you as a Proverbs 31 Woman in trying to re-establish her family after the hurricane, give her hope dear Lord.”

CLOSING
Actress turns back towards audience…You are the Proverbs 31 Women… and at Christmas Time you seldom are acknowledged in the whirl of the season, all you do to make this season special for everyone else. You multi-task, you are the care-givers, you build others up when they are in need, you lean on Father God for strength. His joy is growing in you as your strength. Even if you don’t feel like the Proverbs 31 WomanHe sees all you do, and He sees your heart that is being molded into a jewel that will fit in the crown of the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. You are women of the light of Christ that brings glory and casts the glow that brings others into the joy of this season. Bless you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because as the Proverb’s 31 Woman who loves Him, you are the Bride of Christ. May the oil within your lamp shine brightly this Christmas and throughout the year. Father God I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ.
