What should I do, when the dark clouds appear,
When the trembling thunder of life storms draw near,
What should I do, fall apart get depressed?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God’s plan is best.

What should I do, when my world falls apart,
When disquiet creeps in, way down deep in my heart,
What should I do, go in sane with despair?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, I’m in God’s care.

What should I do, when my troubled soul cries,
When confusion takes over, my vision just dies,
What should I do, be afraid, run and hide?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God’s on my side.

What should I do, in the valley so blue,
When my safe, secure life, disappears in the hue,
What should I do, concentrate on my woes?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, my Jesus knows.

What should I do, when foundations are shaken,
Securities gone, peace and comfort are taken,
What should I do, in a tizzy abide?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God will provide.

What should I do, when my burdens grow weary,
The shadows appear and my life is so dreary,
What should I do, scream my head off and fight?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God holds me tight.

What should I do, in the darkest of night,
When sorrow abounds and my daylight takes flight,
What should I do, forget God, gasp in fear?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God is so near.

What should I do, when my life’s in a haze,
It’s out of control, changes come, life’s a daze,
What should I do, stick my head in a hole?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God’s in control.

What should I do, when life’s worries rush in,
When Satan the tempter, so tempts me to sin,
What should I do, run away, be alone?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God’s on His throne.

What should I do, when I’m stuck in despair,
When hope disappears and there’s nobody there,
What should I do, choose defeat, take a pill?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God’s working still.

What should I do, when frustration takes hold,
When my love for this life has turned desperately cold,
What should I do, my self-pity prolong?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God gives a song.

What should I do, when I’m finished with life,
When I’m ready to give up, I hate all the strife,
What should I do, bask in anguish and fright?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God gave this night.

What should I do, when my heart disbelieves,
When sorrow surrounds me, my aching heart grieves,
What should I do, ignore God and His will?
A garden I’ll plant, knowing, God loves me still.

A garden I’ll plant, for my Savior, my King,
I’ll get on with my life, on eternity’s wing.
A garden so fruitful, created with love,
All, for my Heavenly Father above.
