Corporal Works Of Mercy



• I was hungry. You fed me. Then you taught me a skill that fed me for a lifetime. Thank you so much for giving me a hand up and NOT a hand out!

• I was imprisoned. You prayed for me and visited me. Then you taught me kindness, trust and compassion to my behavior. Thank you so much for giving me a chance but not accepting my bad behavior!

• I was naked. You clothed me. Then you taught me positive self-concept and that I am a child of God. Thank you so much for giving me all that you had then letting me learn to earn!

• I was sick. You cared for me. Then you taught me good health habits. Thank you so much for giving me your time, presence and healing hands to care for me and others!

• I was homeless. You gave me shelter. Then you taught me that a house is a home where God’s unconditional love reigns supreme. Thank you for teaching me the principles of self-determination and taking responsibility.

• I was lonely. You comforted me. Then you taught me the meaning of friendship and sacrifice. Thank you so much for giving me the friendship I so desperately yearned for and the tough love I needed!
