but I know what they say
life is in the blood
blood had to be shed
for our sins to pay.

It is an amazing thing
and we had better believe it

the imprints on our hearts
and we will never leave it.

Please do not deny
from what cries out inside
life is in the blood
do not let faith be denied.

This just did not happen
sitting here with thoughts running through
life is in the blood
between me and you.

Why did one come
only to give his life
hung on a cross
life is in the blood
stabbed with a knife.
