Christmas simply isn’t the same

The feeling isn’t like before

Now its just "Christmas" in name

Not heartfelt. . . To the core

It used to be a special day

To celebrate our Heavenly King

Praising God, in every way

As rejoicing chorus’ would sing

Peace on the earth, good will to men

Seems. . . Something from the past

Removing "Christ’"name, again and again

Once set, now. . .The die is cast

No Mangers, remembering His birth

No Shepherds, nor sheep lying near

No "Merry Christmas" peace on the earth

No more about "Bethlehem" do we hear

Its making a way for the younger ones

Not taught, what Christmas was for

Not having reverence, our daughters and sons

For the King they should worship and adore

Lets pray, that our God will forgive those

Who removed the reason, for the season

Just keep in mind, that . . . Jesus knows

Who honors and wishes to please Him

No matter, how they push Him away

In our hearts, Jesus remains, forever

Christians will praise Him, everyday

Our Love for God. . .No one can Sever!

Judith,
This is beautiful work! I especially like your ending
"No matter, how they push Him away
In our hearts, Jesus remains, forever
Christians will praise Him, everyday
Our Love for God. . .No one can Sever!"
I thank Jesus for that loving, personal relationship that NO man can sever!

Thank you for sharing this poem with us.
Great job!
