Come and Dine

As soon as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. John 21:9,12
An invitation from Jesus Christ, the Lord, to "come and dine." No other table provides such nourishment. No other table's fellowship is so sweet. Not grab and snack, but "come and dine." Sit down and enjoy and leave satisfied. These imperfect fishermen were invited to have breakfast with the Lord of heaven and earth, and they came and partook,"knowing it was the Lord".
Someday, with human frailities not even a distant memory, the invitation to come and dine will once again be extended. This time, in celestial celebration, we will be in the company of our Lord at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
If we have not entered into fellowship with him here, how could we be present at that glorious table reserved in heaven in his Name? Today, he is saying, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20) An R.S.V.P. is requested and required.
