Life Had Just Begun
I saw the river of the water of life
Holy pure and so crystal clear
Proceeding out of the throne of God
And the Lamb He holds so dear
On both sides of the flowing river
There was the tree of life
Which bare the twelve manner of fruits
Yielded monthly without strife
The leaves of the tree healed the nations
Who so long had been accursed
Their sins now, no more among them
In the river of life they were submersed
I saw the radiant face of the Lamb
The One sacrificed for all
His name was sealed in my mind
And I knew I would never again fall
I saw there was no night there, no candle
Neither light from the sun
For the light radiates from the Lord God
And I realized….my life had just begun.
I shall reign with Him forever and ever
And worship His Holy Name
I shall serve Him in that Holy City
His glory for eternity proclaim!
