By a simple divine passion
To have an object of love,
He set about great creation
To glory in, thereof;

He proclaimed, “Let there be light,”
And light came to be;
Just by the word of His might,
Darkness had to flee;

Empyrean split by His command;
Below, from above;
Waters formed over the land,
With no force or shove;

“Let the earth bring forth seed;
Everything, after its kind;”
Thus fulfilling a future need,
For those He had in mind;

“Let there be light, for the day;
And light for the night;”
Existence had to heed what He prayed;
For all He spoke was right;

“Let land, sea and air abound,
With all My mighty creatures;”
This, He spoke, by Angel’s resound;
The earth was blessed with fleshly features;

Of God’s creation came,
The mark and aim of His glory;
Man, to reflect His mighty name,
By whom He’d reveal His story;

Like a Parent, with a planned birth,
He made a nursery for His loved one;
Reveal His man of His mirth,
To fashion him after His Son;

This is the Order of the Universe;
It is how He sees us;
To bring us up from the curse,
By the Order that is Jesus.
