Time and chance hover,
Time and chance prevails;
Yet they’ll not win over
What my heart hails;

I see you now, dear;
You at your best;
I’ll always be here;
On that you can rest;
Feelings may change,
As will our bodies;
Yet I’ll remain,
Just as the Lord sees;

For I am the guard,
Of my precious heart;
My love will not retard,
As His grace imparts;

By the great Name
Of the Lord most high,
Who reveals His fame
As He draws nigh,
By His strength
To climb Time’s hill
I take His breath
To master my will;

As you’re becoming
My wife in this life,
His grace is overcoming
Through all our strife;
May the Lord do to me,
As He sees most fit;
May my heart be free
And love you in all of it;

You will always be my wife,
This is truth that I won’t hide;
But as in me remains my life,
You’ll always be my bride;

So may the Lord be
Forever glorified;
May my joy remain in me,
That, in love for you I died.
