THIS TINY BABE

A Virgin mother, a Holy birth
Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh
Born in a humble cattle stall
Born to take the sins of all

Shepherds looking all around
In total awe when the Babe was found
A star so bright up in the sky
Angels in the highest fly

Amid the confusion of the town
No one noticed that God came down
His gift to man, this tiny One
From virgin birth, God’s only Son

This Babe would grow into a Man
Healing would come from His holy hand
Sight would be given to the blind
Because the Savior was loving and kind

Humble was He who Holiness held
His Father’s will always prevailed
He drank the cup prepared for Him
One that contained all of our sin

He climbed the hill to Calvary
One purpose in mind-set them FREE
He took the pain that should have been mine
At Heaven’s table we will dine

For through this tiny Babe from God
Salvation came on earth to trod
A gift from Heaven to all of man
Reigns on high at His Father’s right hand

Death could not keep Him on this earth
For Jesus was His name at birth
The Holy One Emmanuel
God with us…now all go tell
