(NIV)
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
So Near
Though deep down in my heart,
I know You're never far,
I see You in the twinkling
of a dim and distant star.
I am awed by Your elegance
evident in rich autumn leaves.
I am warmed by Your embrace,
kissed by a midsummer's breeze.
New Life abounds about me
across the brilliant springtime fields.
Your reality leaves me in awe,
while I daily to You yield.
When icicles hang in crystal teardrops
and all the world seems to freeze,
Your fire still warms my heart
and keeps my soul at rest and eased.
I hear You whisper to me
from the rushing river banks
and Your joy sounds like the thunder
when I lift my hands in thanks.
Oh, that I could dance among
those twinklers and on the wind.
Oh, that I could truly believe
I won't break if I learn to bend.
Though deep down in my heart,
I know You're never far,
I see You in the twinkling
of a dim and distant star.
