"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" -- Psalm 27:1

What is real safety? What is real security? What is holding you back? Are you afraid?

It is easy to be afraid. It is easy to give up your true calling for the illusion of safety and security. It is easy "to go along to get along."

But that is not what God wants of you. He wants us all to be extraordinary. He wants us all to be fulfilled. It is only by conquering our fears that we can make that so.

God has told us that we need not be afraid. God has told us that all things happen according to his plan. God has told us that in His house a place is set at His table for us.

Why are we worried about what happens here? We should take that chance. We should do that nagging thing in the back of our minds. We should live to make the world a better place.

We can do it. It won't be easy. It will build character and a little character is what we need now days. So don't be afraid of a few scars; don't be afraid to fail. It is all happening according to plan, even if it seems like it is not.

Be courageous; be brave in the face of danger. Live by what is righteous. Don't be a cold and timid soul that knows only fear. Don't be afraid to try and try again.

It is worthy to spend yourself for the protection of others. It is worthy to spend yourself to make the world a better place. All that it takes is facing down your fear and knowing that God is on your side.
