“Jesus Rocks”

Luke 19:40

“I tell you,” he replied, “If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”(NIV)

Picture this,

Jesus riding on a donkey colt that man has never sat, as He enters Jerusalem the disciples were beside themselves with joy, thundering praise for witnessing the blind, sees! The lame, walk! The sick, healed! The demonic, cast out! Imagine a crowd roaring loader than any sporting event of modern times. The King of Righteousness entering the city of David. Wahoo! Can you feel it!

Then here comes The Pharisees asking Jesus, to rebuke His disciples for praising Him! Go figure! Jesus and the “Triumphal Entry” and here blows in some storm clouds in the form of Pharisees trying to rain on this parade.

NOT!

Then Jesus replied,
“If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Just think if the disciple didn’t thunder praise, the rocks would have cried out! That would have been the biggest rock concert of all times! I’m here to tell you today Jesus still rocks!

“I believe the spirit of the Pharisees is still at large in the church today.”

We wake up in the morning with smiles on our faces with a song in our hearts and before our feet can even hit the ground the enemy of our souls has began another campaign to destroy us and our loved ones. He starts with planting seeds of procrastination, (You don’t need to go before His throne with your supplications and intercessions today, you were there yesterday long enough to get His covering for an entire week!)

When we entertain these perversions of truth and water these cancerous seeds with our meditations we give birth to disobedience! The spirit of the Pharisees was birthed in disobedience and grew in self exaltation to the point of blindness of the truth. That’s the reason they wanted Jesus to rebuke His disciples because they were blinded like in Isaiah

Isaiah 6:9-10


Hebrew; Septuagint 'You will be ever hearing, but never understanding; / you will be ever seeing, but never perceiving.' / 10 This people's heart has become calloused; / they hardly hear with their ears, / and they have closed their eyes

We are in perilous time in this world, wars and rumors of wars. We don’t have time to be side tracked by the accuser of the brethren and his mind games! He is a defeated foe! I challenge you today to rebuke that spirit of defeat! When you wake up, before your feet hit the ground, grab your cross with a mighty grip. Then stand strong suited up in your armor. (Ephesians 6:10-18) And be ready to fight the good fight of faith.

Remember Jesus still rocks!

Psalms 61:2

2 from the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.Lord,

Today I thank you for being our God, for raising us up to praise you, instead of using the rocks. I ask that you birth in us a mighty warrior spirit with a double portion of love and compassion so; you can set the captives free. O Pharisees spirit the Lord rebukes you.

“Let Jesus be your rock”
