Prayers
I wrote this for my very special friend John.
My Friend
Lord, this is a prayer for my friend tonight.
He has grown weary and nothing seems quite right.
Things in his head just seem to go round and round
The weight on his back is heavy, his smile has disappeared and the only thing that remains is a frown.
Lord, please give my friend peace as he lays his head to rest,
And give him all your comfort please give him your very best.
When he wakes in the morning please fill him with your joy.
Let him know his Daddy loves his little boy.
Take him through the day with the strength of a thousand men
Put up your wall of protection and don’t let the enemy in.
May every word that you speak be encouraging to his heart.
And may the Holy Spirit always be with him, never to depart.
So put him upon your wings and take him for a ride.
Take him soaring through the heavens to the mountainside.
Show your holiness and your wondrous ways.
Lead him once again to worship, prayer, and praise.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen
