Picked up the Good Book, to read about me;
I read of His love; put me on my knees;

I had to hold this truth; on-the go;

I took the Word; placed it in my heart;
I now had truth, ne’er to part;

Something that makes me divinely smart;

Wisdom of God; to mine like gold;
I thank You, Lord, for loving me so;
Your word and Spirit, makes me all aglow;

Your word’s in here; to keep me on Your path;
To remind me, I’ve escaped the wrath;
I’m much wiser than any sage;
I know the Ancient of all Days!

Who is like the wise man; building on the rock?
He takes the word; as his holy stock;
