Tiny dragon
Green then brown
On a leaf
Then the ground

Lightning quick
Up the wall
Across the glass
Please don’t fall

Here one second
Then no more
Watch him scurry
Across the floor

Oh, watch out
For birds on wing
Please beware
The wasp’s sting

Where’s your home
Within the crack
Squeeze on through
Bend the back

As a child
You I’d chase
Then look at you
Face to face

I am so sorry
I made you flail
When accidentally
I broke your tail

I am so glad
No tail you lack
Thanks to God
It did grow back

Bask in sunlight
Hide in blizzard
Little dragon
Happy lizard
