He saw his life with much disparage;
He was scorned for his gothic dress;
An only child in one failed marriage;
He’s left alone to clean this mess;

Jeremy cried though he believed;
“I bet this Jesus’d be my friend;”
Gone to church for needed relief,
But found outside was where love ends;

Chorus:
“Jeremy’s lost,” is our banner;
Hypocrisy is our claim;
Where’s the love; this Jesus manner;
Have we made hate our sole aim?

He was met with disdained groans,
Hearts blacker than his trench coat;
In the back pew he sat alone,
He’d left with a lump in his throat;

Now he hates the God of his youth
He’s better off on his own;
He’s tossed his Bible, with it’s truth;
At least this cold is well-known;

And we’ve tossed out one thing equally precious,
