It’s been cycles of blackness
An envelope of darkness
A step to the right, a tilt to the left
Surrounded on every side by bricks of blankness
The future promised seems unattainable
The hopes of tomorrow look unrealistic
Any way to get into that once budding dream?

It’s been a long walk of hoping and trusting
Sometimes it’s even a crawl amidst hindering studs
Many a times it is a still motion
A period when the mind accelerates at a great speed
But the body is static, lacking the will to go on
With a resonating question humming at base of the soul
Is the dream really achievable?

Are good dreams selective of those they come through for?
I need someone to enlighten my darkness
Someone to remove the mucus that has blinded my gaze
For I long to live those dreams I once envisioned
I need access to those heights wherein my future is locked
I want to make a print on the sand of time
I need assurance of the possibility of my dreams!
