Short Stories
Close your eyes to this world and come with me on a grand adventure. We will be traveling fast because time is running out and we do not want to miss what has not happened but is about to.
It is many thousands of years ago and in a land that is far away, so far in fact, that no one can go there anymore. This is a land where everything is in abundance and if one can dream it and it is good, it can be made. The city is so glorious that one’s imagination will never do it any justice.
Angels are all around the throne, and upon it sits the most deserving of all kings. Deserving He is but wanted He was not.
From His throne He hears the distant cries. “Someone please save us from all this harm. Someone lead us, someone feed us, someone counsel us and give us abundant lives. We want a king.”
The King gets onto His glorious stallion and with all of His angels, He answers all of their calls and takes care of all of their needs.
Then He calls to them, “Follow Me to my kingdom, where I will rule over you and take care of you."
“Oh no!” they exclaim. “We want to stay here. Come here and be our king. Here we can tell you everything you must do.”
The King sadly replied, “If I go there and do your will, then you will always be in distress. I love you too much to do this to you. Soon I will come and live with you, so you can see the Truth of my Words. Then I must leave you, but I will always hear you and if you listen carefully, you will hear Me and you will feel my presence and see the wonders of my power.”
Thousands of years have passed and many other kings have come and gone and many of the lost ones have finally realized the Truth of what the King said. They have gone with the True King.
But still He hears so many cries, “Someone please help me!”
Someday all of His subjects will realize the Truth of His Words and they will finally come Home.
When they get Home, they will sit with Him and cry for us to embrace the Truth, while we are down here crying for help and release from hopelessness. Their tears are for us and our tears are for us, until we find the Truth, the Way and the Life. Once that is found, all who embrace Him, will rejoice for those who are no longer lost.
Let us rejoice for those who have found the True Kingdom and cry for those who won’t yet come.
Do not sorrow for the ones who are in His Arms. Let go of the ones that will never want to go with Him and cry for those of us that are not with Him yet. He has promised, that any that are willing to come to His Kingdom and live under His rule, will be with Him always and live under His Love and His unfailing protection forever.
The End for some, The Beginning for others.
John 14 (New King James Version):15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 20 (New King James Version):21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
