hello. Welcome to yet another early addition of the verse of the week. tomorrow night i have a class for work, so I thought I'd write now while i had the time. This weeks verse everyone knows, but i think in a way it might be a way of tacking on to last weeks topic......

"Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all of these things shall be added unto you."

Matthew 6:33

As everyone knows, this is the chapter where Jesus tells us not to worry. A friend of mine let me borrow a CD that had songs taken from scripture, about anxiety, and these verses were a part of one of the songs. It was so beautiful.
Last week I talked about trusting God in all things. This week, I am gonna tell you how to get what you want from God......or have your will align with His.

In order to have the things that we want in life-in general, peace, joy, happiness, good health, etc, we must first seek God. If we do not seek God in these matters, being blessed is not very likely. And it most certainly isn't going to happen all of the time. We need to seek God because He is the GIVER of all good things. Without the giver, there are no gifts ;)
Everybody reading this wants to be blessed. In order to be blessed, we must know God, because He is the source of our blessings. He sends the good things and people into our lives. And, in order to trust God, we must KNOW God. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm not gonna trust a stranger!
It is not really hard to seek God. Ya see, He WANTS to be found. He WANTS you to trust Him. He WANTS to bless you. He is not a "maybe" God. He is a YES God! Sometimes He will not give you what you ask, in order to protect you from your own foolish desires. But what He has in store is far greater. I know that most of you know this, but a few good ways to seek God is to-read the Word, which is Gods gift to us, pray, Gods way for us to communicate with Him, praise Him, our way of reminding ourselves about how good God is, and to chase the devil away, cause He hates praise! Makes me sing louder, LOL. Talk to others about what God has done in their lives, especially people who have had a similar need that you have and God provided for it. Another way-sleep! God can and will speak to us through dreams. Another great reason to sleep :) God is so good, and so WILLING to bless you. Are you going to believe that? Are you going to seek Him, in all His goodness, and glory? If you do, you shall be greatly blessed!
