I am enduring a very difficult thing right now. Thoughts are rolling around in my head like very insistent waves crashing onto a beach just before a big storm. I am determinedly training my mind on the one thing I can count on and that is Jesus. On the advice of someone here at FW, I will be focused on praying and reading the word, even if I accomplish very little otherwise. I have always done this--I'm just stepping it up until I can see my way clearly.

Today at work, as I flipped endless hot dogs, and slapped together too many sandwiches to count, as one customer after another placed their orders in rapid succession, it occurred to me that it seems the closer I get to God, the more problems life throws at me. The more I determine to follow His will instead of my own, the more the pieces of my life fall away and get rearranged. The more I look to find His answers, the more I seem to have need of them.

Coincidence? I don't think so. Testing? Maybe. Simply life in general? Probably.

Since I don't really know exactly what is happening or why, I will count on only Jesus. What else, or should I say, who else can handle things?

If life is handing you big things, and you don't know where to turn anymore, turn to Jesus. Let Him sort it all out. Rest in Him. You can count on Him, even if your heart is breaking.
