Even in my being right,
I find myself being wrong before You;
I am Job of the 21st century;
You have tested me,
And found me wanting;

For the desire of Your presence,
I acquiesce;
It is my joy to do so,
For You love brokenness;

Except for this, I have nothing to say:
I am down on my face before You,
For the case of my heart;
Simply in Your grace, You uphold me;
I have nothing to give,
That doesn’t come from You;
My need screams to me;
It’s with me in my waking;
My rising in the morning;

Yet, You are ever with me;
You uphold me by my right hand;
You remember to give me my breath;


Truly, You are a God most kind.
