HEAVEN

I do not know what heaven is like,
If people live and how;
Some say that it is something like,
What we have here below.

Streets and mansions everywhere,
Shine in gold and white;
Heaven must be special there,
Cause God is in plain sight.

Some say that heaven is not a place,
It’s just a dream; a thought;
Existing with no time and space
A promise to be sought.

When finally our time is past;
Our earthly span is ended;
In heaven we’ll face our God at last
And ask what He intended

Until that time we work and pray,
And live by hope and love;
We do his will, and strive each day,
To please our Lord above

Is heaven a place or some ideal?
And what is its dimension?
Or maybe it is someplace real
Beyond our comprehension

It’s not what heaven is or not,
Whatever heaven may be;
For God has said I’ll be with Him
That’s heaven enough for me
