Psalm 27:4

We ask so much of God. We ask Him to bless us, to bless our friends and family, to heal us, to send us a spouse, to provide for us, for food, a home, and job, faith, children, the list goes on and on. David asked this of the Lord-That I may gaze upon your beauty, and dwell in your temple. He said-LORD, I WANT TO BE WITH YOU!!! On those days when nothing seems to be going right, I tell the Lord "I just want to be with you." Being with my Heavenly Father makes everything ok again. Even when He does not fix the situation, He always restores my weary soul.
Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you. Let me ask you a simple question: When you need a glass of water, where do you go? To the sink, right? The sink is the SOURCE for that water. So in order to be blessed with that in which we long for, we must first go to that source, God. By abiding in Him, we shall be fulfilled. ANd He will show us exaclty what we need. And He will provide. He is Johovah Jirah, our provider. Every good and perfect gift is from Him(James 1:17). I want a lot of things in life. But above all I want to KNOW God, and be with Him. When He is the central focus of your life, all other things will fall into place. He will take care of it all. Fall into His loving arms and tell Him of your needs. He will provide them for you, and will provide the greatest gift of all-His holy presence and His unfailing love.
