The Mountaintop

The Mountaintop

This morning I asked: “Lord,
How could You really love me?
It seems much too amazing,
Your grace could set me free.

Then my Lord carried me
Up high, on top the mountain.
His love flowed through me
Just like a gushing fountain.

He assured me in my heart
That He’s always in control.
My prayers He will answer
I believe this in my soul.

I got to this mountaintop
In my obedience and love.
Peace and joy then followed
Sent straight from above.

Such wonder to feel the tenderness
Of my Savior’s gentle touch
He showed to me the cross, then said:
Child, I love you this much!

Sometimes God takes us to the mountain, and sometimes He meets us in the valley. Isn't God wonderful? Thanks for sharing these thoughts with us, Julia. May the Lord bless you in your service for Him. He has given you a talent and you are using it.
