Luminescence

I
A voice speaks light into darkness far below
Flashes of glorious lightning from heavenly throne of Holiness
Thundering awareness to a people somnolent
Caught in cold grasp of sins woeful grasp
Ancient accretions spoils discarded in disarray
In pits far from the light into which light now blazes
Awoken suddenly, groggy minds are steadied, by
becalming hands reassuring
Of glorious Saviour, the Messiah come to shepherd His dishevelled flock
Back to pleasant meadows, nurturing plains,
When obedient sheep follow their shepherd home,
to a place of rest away from tribulations of sinful existence;

Salvation´s light jolts and scatters
From midst of that brilliant luminescence
That as it were has set ablaze these pits of forlorn existence
With joy of life rebirthed in purity
A calm voice of reassurance
fills every heart with pleasant calm
As salvation's Lord speaks
becalming words of measured assurance
Preaching healing messages of love and obedience-

My sheep heed my call
They come to me when I the good shepherd call them;
When I heard my saviour´s call
My heart leaped within me
I knew even before His light fully awakened me
I had found my saviour, who had set a path for me
To walk in His light-

Glorifying Him and in Him
Indulging with unrestrained praise
Amidst revelations revealing works of His hands
My Saviour sculpted a place of delight
perfected in its provisions
That I might in peace appreciate
awesome glory of my Maker´s grace
For before I lost my place and its abundance
I had no doubt that my Creator made me
A centre piece of His delightful masterpiece;

I was set amidst a garden in grand galaxies of encircling stars
That I might praise Him and give Him joy amidst phenomenal works of His hands
My place was a certainty of assured blessing-

Long had man dwelt in place fetid with pernicious wickedness
Grimy is uncleanness that worms itself into a soul distanced from its creator
He whose glory is light that floods soul of man with renewing life unending-

When man fell far from grace, he hit hard grounds of infertility,
Hard scrabbled grounds of infertility
Where life wilted from its state of beauty and pleasantness
Man had lost in great bitterness grand gift of creation cresting:
illustrous beauty that held creation in awe was lost
Till that light from heaven´s glorious presence opened
Heaven's portals of glorious presence filling these
Dismal pits, bringing sight to a people in darkness-
