Someday, She’ll Wear White

God formed a vessel of many hats,
some gold, some blue, some red,
and covered her with pinions
of The Eagle overhead.

He looked at His creation and said,
“You’re precious. That is true,
even when you choose to wear
that most humble shade of blue.”

God gifted her with many colors.
Not all of them are bright.
But subtle gray is at times
the most precious in His sight.

Let her wear the hat that pleases Him
so when the sun is hid,
she’ll thank her Father alone
for the hats He gave His kid.

Today she chose the boldest crimson,
a worthy covering,
most sufficient as a crown
fit for a child of The King.

Word of God, Speak

Perfect Love,
cast out my fear.
Spirit of God,
draw near.

Be quiet
and hear, my soul,
what the Word speaks
and know

that He is,
and is, and is.
And as for me,
I'm His.

Be still, my soul.
Just know.
