If I were, a carpenter
I would build, me this house
So no weapons would pierce my frame
and I would have no flames to douse
But, yet my heart, it must confess
that I already have the best
And with my God abiding in me
there's no way I can't past this test
You see these tools, that's He's given me
They are the best that you can use
So I need no hammer, or any nails
and they even heal when I am bruised
No stone can break my windows
They are panned with the masters hands
My boards are washed, with His saving grace
and in whatever weather, it will stand
My doors are sealed, by His word
when the forces try to enter in
He gave me the key, to every exit
to help keep the power within
My doors are furnished with love and joy
and my walls are displayed with peace
That counter-attacks, every evil around
and they will cause the wars to cease
These floors are balanced, by my inner faith
that's been taught from His Holy Word
No towering weight can break it down
when I have given, myself to be served
My outside steps, are insured in place
they will not crumble beneath my feet
For my Carpenter is Jesus, the best stone maker
and this is a builder, you just can't beat
He established my sides, from top to bottom
So no thief could enter this place
Then He sat a watch all around me
and truly my heart has felt His grace
But the beginning and end of this foundation
that was purchased by His blood
Every room in this house, has a prayer closet
that helps keep it from sinking in the mud
