A Reminder of God’s Faithfulness

It is often in the BIG ARENA in which we look for miracles and find ourselves disappointed when they do not unfold as we think they should. Many have even treaded the waters of, ‘if you are really the God you say you are, then we will see this massive miracle unfold.’ Somehow miracles are often thought to be a test or proving of God’s faithfulness.

While I am a believer of miracles large and small, and have witnessed many in my lifetime, ever so often I have to pull over to the side of the road and realize miracles are happening all around me – every minute of the day! While God performs miracles of spectacular proportions on the vast scale of life, there are many that go unnoticed, because we bought tickets for the big arena!

Have you ever thought about these being miracles?

A baby is born healthy!

The sun rose this morning!

A man or women give their heart to God!

A teenager decides to take a stand for Christ!

Stars hung, suspended across the darkness of the sky!

As final proof I’d like you to do something real quick. Ready?

• Take a slow deep breath

• Exhale slowly – allow yourself to feel the breath leave your body

You just witnessed a miracle! It is the simple act of breathing that God has once again proved His faithfulness! So, if at any moment today you begin to wonder if God is still around, perform the simple exercise and recognize what you accomplished was an act of God! He is the giver of life!

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God (Job 37:14).

He is still faithful! He is not man that He can or will lie! His promises are yea and amen! He will never fail you!

That doesn’t mean you will never witness a miracle of gargantuan proportions – they do happen – to this I am a witness – but don’t let the daily miracles go unnoticed! They can be just as special if we take the time to notice!

Dear God, creator of heaven and earth! You hang the stars in place and cause the sun to shine! You give breath and laughter! You spoke and the mountains formed! Your touch brings life, Your love extends deeper than the deepest ocean! Your mercy and grace is never failing and never changes! You are faithful, even when we are not! Thank you Lord for Your mercy and grace! Thank You Lord for Your touch! Thank You Lord for loving us enough to keep on loving us! You are an awesome God!

We give You thanks and praise today, AMEN
