The principle of infinite supply

There is a lot of teaching on getting from God. We pray to get healing, love, faith, gifts of the Spirit, prosperity, job advances, and many other things.

These are all good. We should ask God for them and continue to pray to receive from God, but that’s not all there is, is getting.

There is a lot of teaching on giving too. Give to others, give to missions, give to the church, give to the poor and many others.

These are all good. We should give, but getting and giving are quite often isolated in themselves. We give for this reason or that and we receive from here or there and we don’t always see the connection.

Receiving and giving are both driven by a principle from God – The principle of infinite supply. It’s when we understand this principle that giving and getting take on a whole new meaning.

This is how we see God working in our life:
We are a vessel.
We receive from God until we are full.
We give away – God fills us up
We give away – God fills us up
What’s new about that? Nothing.

Here’s how the principle of infinite supply works:
We are a vessel – with access to infinite supply.
We receive from God – but not until we are full.
We receive from God until we stop giving what we have.
The more we give of what we have – the more we receive or the more we are filled – Not until we get filled because under the principle of infinite supply, its not about us getting filled, its about God filling us.
Filled is a finished work – filling is an ongoing work.
Our vessel doesn’t have a top like we think of a glass full of water – Our vessel grows upward as God is filling us. There is no end to an infinite supply.

We have to get away from thinking of giving as giving, because giving makes it sound like it is from us. It’s not. All we have was given to us by God. We are stewards (managers) of what God has given us, not bankers of what we have obtained.

Everything we have – even who we are – is given to us from God. God gives us everything we have, and as we utilize what we have for His purposes, He gives us more and more and more.
Our vessel increases as we use or give to others what we have.

This principle of endless supply is not just about money. It is about everything in our life. It is about every good thing. It is a principle from God that God wants us to get. The reason that God wants us to get it is because God knows the end from the beginning.

God knows when we are going to stand before Him and pass from this life into eternity. God wants your stay and my stay here to be done God’s way, with God’s blessings, under His authority and with His power.

When we stand before God – All about you and me will be revealed. All about who we really were will be settled.

God isn’t going to commend us for leaving here with a full cup. We will be commended for what we have used or given to others.

We won’t be commended for what we know. We will be commended for what we gave away (taught) others.

We won’t be commended for what talents, gifts and skills we have. We will be commended for the talents, gifts and skills we used.

People aren’t saved because we are Christians, people are saved because we are using or giving away our testimony about Christ.

The tighter we hold on to what we have the less opportunity we have for practicing the principle of endless supply.

“For what has a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26

The principle of infinite supply is not just about money. It works in prayer – using the gifts of the Spirit – Getting to know God better – Wisdom, everything good.

Luke 6:38
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Some of us think that we did it on our own.
Some of us think we came to Christ on our own.
Some of us think that we have what we have because we earned it.

And yes we played a role in everything we have, but the source was always God, even if it was through our hard work, it was God that gave us the ability to do the hard work.

When it comes to principles, it matters how we believe and what we believe, because it is how we believe that limits the principle’s ability to achieve its goal.

The principle of infinite supply must be practiced or pursued in the Spirit. In other words, the indwelling Spirit of God within us imparts or activates the principle.

The rules that govern the principle are subject to our relationship with God. Our relationship with God is what gives us the right to operate within the principle.
Wait, I can hear the hearts of those who have been taught that God’s principles work the same for everyone, because He is no respecter of persons. No way. God is no respecter of persons, but don’t think for one minute that God intends to let people into heaven without faith in Christ.
God does not bless or enlarge the borders of the unrighteous. They do that on their own and it is their reward.

God does not bless crime. They do that on their own and it is in itself their reward. The spoils of foolish and ungodly behavior is itself our reward.

Take a look with me at Matthew 6:2-7 & 16-21

“Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.”
V3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand knoweth what thy right hand doeth:
V4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly.”
V5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily, I say unto you, they have their reward.
V6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
V7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

Now over to verse 16
“Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
V17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine headd, and wash thy face;
V18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secrete, shall reward thee openly.
V19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal:
V20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
V21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Eternal blessings are for eternal beings. The principle of infinite supply is subject to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God wants to multiply what is good in our lives, but the principle of infinite supply demands that we use – exhaust – expend - what we have first - and that we use it as God has outlined, in the Spirit.

Now turn with me to 2 Corinthians 9:6-11
I am going to take this verse by verse, because the Word of God that teaches the principle of infinite supply must first be understood – then accepted by faith – believed – then practiced for it to work.

2 Corinthians 9:6
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap bountifully.”

This is the impetus, the beginning of the principle, the seed of faith that can grow into the tree of faith.

Reaping and sowing is not based on how much we have or give. The principle is based on how much we sow of what we have.

To reap bountifully, means literally to reap the better part of. We sow bountifully of what we have and we reap bountifully and exponentially of what God has.

V7
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

This is no small thing.
And for those who give out of duty – This word necessity means out of duty. Jesus died on the cross to put to end the Levitical law and to tear the veil to the holy of holies. We have access by faith through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

V8
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

This idea of God increasing our borders, blessing us with plenty, giving us the desires of our heart, helping us to accomplish our dreams, giving us the answers we want is all true. The principle of infinite supply cannot be better revealed than through having all sufficiency in all things.

V9 “(As it is written, he hath displeased abroad; he hath given to the poor: His righteousness remaineth for ever.
V10 Now He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

We must be careful to fully apprehend God’s message here. These verses reveal the principle of infinite supply in:
Sowing and reaping
In giving out of our heart and not out of duty
In receiving bountifully or the very best

Let’s take faith for example;
If we apply a little faith, what do we get?
Little results
But when we use our faith
God gives us more faith
and when we use that faith
God gives us greater faith
and when we use that faith

God gives us mountain moving faith, healing faith, anything is possible faith.

But to get more faith, we have to use what faith we have. We have to expend it.

God is not static and neither are God’s principles static.

Let’s look at the Word. We read a little of the Word, we receive a little from the Word.
We read more – we receive more

We enmesh ourselves in the Word – we can see God

As we use the principles of the Word that we understand and believe – we receive more from God.
The Word becomes alive.

Verses that were once impotent to us become potent and full of meaning.

What once were stories become living examples. Scriptures that we have read before, even hundreds of times take on (not new meaning) but more meaning, because the principle of endless supply is operating in and through the scriptures.

Let’s look at another example – Self worth.

If we think less of our self or have a skewed view of God’s view of our self we stifle the principle of endless supply concerning self-worth.

Self-worth is the driving force behind how we reveal Christ to others. Little self-worth, little testimony. But as we sow seeds of confidence by re-iterating to ourselves who we are in Christ, that testimony builds.

As we recognize our true self-worth as:
An heir of the kingdom of God
Joint heirs with Christ
Ambassador to Christ
Friend of Jesus
Righteous in God’s sight
Our self-worth takes on a whole new meaning. If we sow sparingly we reap sparingly.

Where are you headed in your life?
If you want to get there, sow bountifully.
God will accelerate your plan.

What really matters to you?
If you want it, sow bountifully.
God will increase or multiply it exponentially.

Don’t sit around and wait:
until it happens
until it comes to you
until he or she finds their way home
until you have the perfect scenario
until you have more
Sow into it and watch God work. Make plans and get on with it.

Don’t let anything fall through the crack of doubt. Evaluate what really matters to you and sow bountifully into it – unsparingly – out of your want.

Let go and let God increase it. Sow bountifully in all things and you will reap bountifully in all things.

V11 “Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.”

To be enriched comes from the Greek word meaning to be made completely satisfied – filled to overflowing – fat with things. And remember bountiful means the better part of.

So we should read this verse like this:
“Being made completely satisfied and filled to overflowing in every thing to all the better things, causes us to be thankful to God”

Whatever it is that:
enhances your life
builds up your relationship with God
helps you reach your dreams
Sow bountifully into it.

If you want wisdom – sow wisdom.
Start a small group in your home. Teach what God has taught you. Give your wisdom to others and God will give you more and more and more.

Now for those of us who are asking the age old question, What about money? Does this principle of infinite supply work with money? Of course it does.

But a lot of things are going to have to change:
For the principle of infinite supply to work with:
Money – Faith – the Word – Wisdom – Our dreams
We will have to think differently than we have been thinking.
We will have to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
It is God in us, that knows, when and what we need to sow to reap a bountifully supply.

We can’t just do things out of duty anymore. We must seek God’s direction through prayer, fasting, fellowship, and bible study for God to direct our path.

We will have to start giving of ourselves:
Because we want to
Because we trust God
Because it makes us happy
Because we want to be like Jesus
Because we believe God and want to do it His way.

Practicing the principle of endless supply is a faith work.

I know a man in Englewood, a developer. He loves God and determined that he would prove this principle of endless supply. He decided that if the tithe (the tenth part) of everything was good enough for God, it was good enough for him.

He determined that he and his family would live on 10% of his income and give away (not save) 90% to others. From the very moment he decided to implement this plan in his heart, things began to change in his life.

He has never done without, and after 20 years of practicing this principle, he has amassed un-spendable wealth.
He owns property in Canada and the US.
He helps hundreds of people get into homes that they would otherwise not get into.
He supports more than twenty churches, non-profit organizations and business start-ups.
He has put away an inheritance for his family and his testimony is how great God is.

I want us to take on some of these characteristics in our sowing habits.
Let’s pray that God will cause us to see His infinite supply.
Let’s pray that we will cast away the fear that holds so many of us back from so many things in life.

The principle of infinite supply was written for you and all that God has created is for you. Let’s go sow.
