THE PRAYER ROOM

Quiet and Still
Almost total darkness
No talking but to the Lord
Many prayers going forth to heaven

No distractions
Just concentration on souls
A place to lay down heavy burdens
To pray for the Kingdom to go forth

Prayers of the saints old & new should be felt there
Mighty battles are fought & won
Sometimes we don’t win the battles
We’re only human & we’re weak
We will however win the war

Prayers for the new convert, the backslider
Prayers for our city, state, & country
Prayers for our pastor & church
Prayers for missionaries to be bold
Prayers for our family, the lost, the weary

There are so many prayers to be prayed.
We can’t waste time nor play church
There are a lot of people who need our prayers
The Lord is expecting to see you there

The Lord now is waiting in a prayer room for you
Enlist in His front line
It’s a thankless job but He rewards you
Come to the prayer room & let’s be about out Lord’s business

The Lord never taught anyone to preach, to sing, to play an instrument
The Lord taught us all to pray with the Lord’s Prayer as an example
Let’s take up His burden for prayer
For that’s where His burden is

Beautiful poem, but I respectfully disagree with this line: "The Lord never taught anyone to preach, to sing, to play an instrument" --- I could have never preached a sermon effectively without the instructions of the Lord. May God bless. Thomas

I also look at a prayer room that is within each person, where we can commune with God and pray for others. I agree with Thomas too I can't do anything without Him. Thanks for encouraging others to pray. God bless
