Sometimes an angel, sometimes much less;
I’ll help ya clean up, then make a mess;
One mouth’s to bless, another’s to curse;
You may wanna hug me, or just wanna burst;

I’m such a brat; no where to go but up,
Not like the world; no where to throw but up;
I’m a work-in-progress, like much of my writes,
And He still keeps me in His loving sights;

Chorus:
I’d say I’m sorry, but lying’s a sin;
I am thankful His patience never wears thin;
Can be a trouble-maker, that I should flee;
You don’t have to like me, but you gotta love me;

Verse:
I’m just a sinner; a saint caught in the grace;
Without my planning, I’m found in His place;
It’s beyond me why He would save me;
But I’m so thankful for that rugged ol’ tree;

He loves to choose fools, all for His glory;
Forgives and cleans them; adds to His story;
By faith, I’ll change, mixed with His word,
While the world wonders at a grace so absurd;
