I have a good word for you. Not a bad word, a worrisome word or an instruction word, but a good and encouraging word.
"Now, thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ!" (2 Corinthians 2:14)
How do you like that?! God doesn't "sometimes" lead us, or "most of the time" or even "yes, no, or maybe" lead us! He ALWAYS leads us!
The next part is just as good! He leads us in triumph! He isn't interested in just getting by. He isn't interested in status-quo, mediocrity, or barely making it out of the battle. He leads us in triumph! The definition of triumph is: the act, fact, or condition of being victorious or triumphant; victory; conquest, a significant success or noteworthy achievement; instance or occasion of victory.
According to the Webster dictionary, it says that "…in Roman times it referred to the ceremonial entrance into Rome of a victorious commander with his army, spoils of war, and captives, authorized by the senate in honor of an important military or naval victory."
WOW! Praise God!!! Really, jump up and down and shout aloud! You are destined to triumph. God always leads us in triumph in Christ!
Your brother and friend,
Gabriel
